About Pet Care Index

A data-led reference for UK pet and home care: what it costs, who is licensed, and which option actually fits.

We are not a booking platform. We take no commission on any booking, we do not host sitter or homeowner listings, and we have no inventory to protect. That independence is the point — it is why we can put free mutual-exchange sitting, paid sitting, licensed home boarding and kennels in the same table and let the numbers fall where they fall.

Where we link to a platform and that link earns a commission, we say so on the page carrying the link. Commission never affects which options appear in a comparison or how they are ordered — those are ordered by price and by data, computed the same way for every option.

What we publish

• Median listed asking rates by town and care type, with sample sizes
• Local authority licence records, republished with attribution and verification dates
• Aggregate supply and seasonality counts
• All of the above as open data under CC BY 4.0
